A lecture by Prof. Samia Al-Amoudi at the Faculty of Medicine, Umm Al Qura University

At the kind invitation of HE Dr. Abeer Barhamin, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Female Students at Umm Al Qura University, the founder and first head of the Health and Health Rights Empowerment Unit Prof. Samia Al-Amoudi gave a lecture on Health Empowerment and Health Rights on Sunday, October 15, 2017.

The Ministry of Health issued a document on the rights of patients in 2006 and all practitioners should know it (available on the Ministry's website).

The lecture concluded by saying that the great historic decision is Supreme Decree No. 33322 issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in May 2017, which stipulates that women can be provided with services without the need of the guardian's consent.
