The First Workshop on "Who have the right to consent for Women’s Health Care”

Under the auspices of the Saudi Society of Obstetric & Gynecology (SSOG) is the launch of the first workshop entitled "Who have the right to consent for Women’s Health Care” held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Intercontinental Hotel Jeddah. The Head of Health Empowerment & Health Rights Unit, Prof. Samia Al-Amoudi gave awareness lectures on women's empowerment together with Dr. Souzan Kafy. Prof. Samia explained the rights of patients in the approval of the consent for women’s health care and gave scenarios in which required a hysterectomy and the descent of the umbilical cord when the couple refuses to do Caesarean section and how to act in these kinds of situations. The patient has the right to approve and sign all health affairs and stressed the importance of educating all sectors of society so that they know the patients and health rights.
