"The Participation of Dr. Samia Al-Amoudi in a Ceremony Honoring Outstanding Students in Riyadh" ‎

Dr. Samia Al-Amoudi was invited as a guest speaker by the department to participate in developmental programs honoring outstanding students at JW Marriott Hotel Riyadh last Friday, 13th December 2013.  Dr. Samia in this ceremony gave inspiring words to the students in which she told her story on how she suffered from cancer and her fight against the disease, the support that she got and how she overcome it.

 "he newspaper Al Mukalla mentions the honors that Dr. Samia Al-Amoudi received by in its founding global programs to combat breast cancer and her struggle after being hit by the disease in 2006, as well as when she ranked 7th as Arab Most Powerful Women of 2007 and being the first woman in Saudi Gulf being elected as a Board Member in the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) in Geneva and many local and International memberships and partnerships in this area.

 It is worth mentioning the viewing of the Breast Cancer Awareness film "Wardy", which drew the attention of participants, at the end of the ceremony was Dr. Samia Al-Amoudi honoring outstanding students and the distribution of certificates of appreciation to them.
