World Cancer Day 2013:
The Center of Sheikh Mohammed Hussien Al-Amoudi
Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer
participated in the activities of
the World Cancer Day on Monday, 4th February
2013 organized by the center at King
Abdulaziz University in
Jeddah at the Main Lobby and OPD area to
distribute books and survey questionnaire on
Misconceptions about Breast Cancer.
Volunteer students from the Faculty of Medicine
distributed books on the misconceptions about
breast cancer and to identify or measure the
extent of the spread of these wrong beliefs a
questionnaire was also given to patients,
patient families and hospital staff to know its
impact on all layers of society, this has been
done to establish awareness. Also film viewing,
the“Wardy” film
(dramatic documentary) produced by the Center to
participate in the World Cancer Day through the
Union for International Cancer Control in
Geneva. Other activities were distribution of
pink ribbon and face painting for children and
hand painting for students and staff.
