The participation of Dr. Samia Al-Amoudi in the effectiveness of the " Pharma Day "

Dr. Samia Al-Amoudi
CEO of Sheikh Mohammed Hussien Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in
Breast cancer participates in the effectiveness of the "Pharma Day
" organized by 3rd year students from the
College of Medicine (MED 11) on Wednesday, 8th May 2013
held at the Main Auditorium, King Abdulaziz University Hospital in
Jeddah.
Where the Dr. Samia
gave a lecture on the importance of scientific research in the
pharmaceutical and the impact on her personal story with breast
cancer, especially with a drug,"Herceptin" which was discovered
recently, where they tell the story of the discoverer of Medicine,
Dr. Dennis Salamun Qibli and demonstrated the difficulties faced by
the discovery and which was documented in the film "living proof"
which offered some excerpts at the end of the lecture.
It was explained in
the course on how the pharmaceutical medicine interfere economically
and affect the patient in various walks of life, a note of the
importance of giving health rights for patients and most importantly
to provide them with the necessary medicine even in poor countries
through global organizations and which Dr. Samia Al-Amoudi is keen
to work with them. And at the end of her speech Dr. Samia encouraged
the students to become serious and ambitious, citing Mrs. Laura Bush
that it is not impossible that the detected viable drug for cancer
will be discovered by one of the sons of the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia.
And after that a
group of employees in the Center distributed a number of
publications were they attended also the lecture.
