Dr. Samia Al-Amoudi
CEO of Sheikh Mohammed Hussien Al-Amoudi Center of
Excellence in Breast Cancer and Chairwoman of Women's
Health Empowerment Scientific Chair was invited as a
guest in the 8th Academic Forum at King Faisal Hall for
Conference on Wednesday, 19th December 2012. Dr. Samia
gave a lecture on the establishment of scientific chairs
in
King Abdulaziz University highlighting her experience
in the supervision of the Chair, Sheikh Mohammed Hussein
Al-Amoudi Scientific Chair for Breast Cancer Researches.
The most important achievements and then gave a brief on
the new Chair on Women’s Health Empowerment Scientific
Chair. She said in her speech that the project for
scientific chairs is a great achievement for the
University a civilization and she think it is
opportunity to benefit women to studies in research in
women's issues which emerged now and can submit studies
in which the reality of Saudi society and the role of
women in it, and suggested them saying “I wish my
sisters and my daughter and my colleagues to be aware of
that for the country”. It is important to make studies
and research about women’s issue to help the country’s
leaders to solve the problem of women and empower them
with these studies. For example; violence against women
and unemployment. She concluded by thanking the
President of the University His Excellency, Prof. Osama
Bin Sadiq Tayeb, unending support and Sheikh Mohammad
Hussein Al-Amoudi Chair funding .
