A Lecture Entitled "Health Empowerment and Health Rights in Islamic Shari'a"

At the kind invitation of the Religious Affairs Unit at the University Hospital and in cooperation with the Community Service Unit, the Head of the First Unit for Health Empowerment and Health Rights at the Faculty of Medicine, King Abdulaziz University, has hosted Prof. Samia Al-Amoudi to deliver a lecture entitled "Health Empowerment and Health Rights in Islamic Sharia" held at KAU Main Auditorium on 13 December 2017.
She spoke about health empowerment in Islamic law, where she defined the term "religious and scientific empowerment" and talked about the health empowerment and health rights in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its objectives, and how Islam ensured the health rights of the fetus also mentioned that women have the right to sign all their medical and surgical treatments which is based on the advisory opinion of the senior scientists in 1404 AH and explained that the Ministry of Health issued a document on the rights of patients in 2006 and should be known to all practitioners and is available on the MOH website.
