1. Sign language training course :

a two-week training course in sign language for the female staff of the center was held between 14 and 28 August 2010. Dr. Samia Al-Amoudi, a breast cancer survivor and head of the center, and staff nurse Sarah Biqshan, nursing and care officer, and Ms. Israa Bashrahil, manager at the center, attended the course given to them by Ms. Faiza Natto, head of the Jeddah Club for Deaf Women. Another part of the agreement is to set up a special sign language awareness program for deaf women that includes a sign language handbook, leaflets and banners, as well as a map with directions to help them get to the center more easily.
