In
collaboration with the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Department of
Nursing at King Abdulaziz University-Jeddah. Eleven (11) workshops have been
held starting from March 1, 2011 AD, for nurses from primary healthcare
centers in Jeddah at the Skill Lab of Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al-Amoudi
Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer (SMHA-CEBC).
The total number of attendees was 233for both Male & Female Nurses from
different Primary Healthcare Centers in Jeddah. The lectures were delivered in
supervision of Dr. Shadia Yousef, Chairperson in Nursing Dept., Faculty of
Applied Medical Sciences-KAU, Dr. Wafa Nicholas, Associate Professor of Genes
and Genetic Specialization in the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences-KAU, Dr.
Najla Al-Sayed, Associate Professor and X-ray Consultant, Dr. Zouhor Al-Ghaithi,
Consultant Breast Surgeon in KAU, Dr. Safaa Salim, Associate Professor in the
Department of Nursing- Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Samia Al-Amoudi,
Executive Director of SMHA-CEBC & Associate Professor and OB/Gyne Consultant at
KAU, Ms. Sara Bugshan, Technical Supervisor at the center on practical training
and specialist nursing, and Ms. Lotfa Al-Khirati, X-ray Technician and
Supervisor of Practical Training at SMHA-CEBC.
The workshop was held on the following dates:
1 - The first workshop for nurses, March 1, 2011 AD.
2 - The second workshop for nurses, March 8, 2011 AD.
3 - The third workshop for nurses, March 15, 2011 AD.
4 - The fourth workshop for nurses, March 22, 2011 AD.
5 - The fifth workshop for nurses, April 5, 2011.
6 - The sixth workshop for nurses, 12 April 2011.
7 - The seventh workshop for nurses, 26 April 2011.
8 - The eighth workshop for (male) nurses May 10, 2011 AD.
9 - The ninth workshop for nurses May 17, 2011 AD
