Visit of a Delegation from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, Canada at Al-Amoudi Center

A delegation from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, Canada visited Sheikh Mohammed Hussien Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer in the presence of the Consultant to the President of King Abdulaziz University Prof. Adnan Zahed, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, HE Prof. Mahmoud Shaheen Al-Ahwal and the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Prof. Nabeel Bondagji and Vice Dean for Basic Sciences Dr. Samir Al Harthy as part of their tour of the Faculty of Medicine at King Abdulaziz University on Sunday, 27 Sha'ban 1439H – 13 May 2018. The delegation was received by the CEO of the Center Prof. Samia Al-Amoudi with Dr. Jawaher Al-Ahmadi.

Where the aim of the visit was a partnership agreement between King Abdulaziz University represented by the Faculty of Medicine and the Schulich Academy of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University.

Prof. Samia Al-Amoudi presented a brief presentation on the Sheikh Mohammed Hussien Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer and about the Health Empowerment and Health Rights Unit, and the definition of the functions of the Center and the Unit and the most important achievements achieved through the Center and the Unit. The issue of breast cancer is a priority issue, either for the Empowerment Unit which was created based on the weakness of the human rights culture in Saudi Arabia among the general community and health practitioners. This unit is the first of its kind in the Kingdom. Reproductive health of cancer patients, which falls within the unit. In conclusion, the delegation expressed its admiration for the Center's and the Unit's potential.
