Prof. Samia Al-Amoudi at the Opening Ceremony of the First Combined Gulf Cancer Conference in Kuwait

Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Jamal M. Al-Harbi, Minister of Health in Kuwait, the opening ceremony of the First Combined Gulf Cancer Conference entitled "Awareness Strategy: Reality and Ambition" was held in Kuwait, where the Secretary General of the Gulf Union for Cancer Control and Head of Health Empowerment and Health Rights Unit at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Prof. Samia Al Amoudi gave a public awareness seminar entitled "Rights of Cancer Patients in the Arab World" on Monday, April 3, 2017. Prof. Samia stated that human rights culture in cancer is an integral part of integrated health care as it enables patients to obtain the right information to enable them to make the right decision in all their affairs. It is also reported that cancer patients have many rights guaranteed by the Ministry of Health but there is ignorance of them by patients and health care providers.
