Reproductive Health Rights for Cancer Patients Meeting

Sheikh Mohammed Hussien Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer held a meeting entitled "Reproductive Health Rights for Cancer Patients" sponsored by Pfizer and attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at King Abdulaziz University Prof. Mahmoud Shaheen Al-Ahwal, President of the Saudi Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Prof. Hassan Abdul-Jabbar, Founder and Head of the Unit for Health Empowerment and Health Rights Prof. Samia Al- Amoudi, Dr. Shadi Khayat, Dr. Khaled Darhouse, Dr. Bandar Kutbi, Dr. Souzan Kafi and a group of medical practitioners at Crown Plaza Hotel on February 4, 2018.

The meeting coincided with World Cancer Day 2018, 4th February and the third Gulf Cancer Campaign, the first human rights awareness project to raise awareness of the impact of cancer on the fertility of men and women.

The speakers delivered a lecture on the reproductive health rights of cancer patients in which they talked about the solutions available to preserve fertility and treatment alternatives, and the mechanism of transferring patients to infertility & fertility specialists to develop the available treatment plan before starting chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
