Achievements - Dr Samia Al-Amoudi among World's Most Influential Scientists

 

2- Dr Samia Al Amoudi, an obstetrician, gynaecologist and assistant professor at King Abdulaziz University (KAU), has been nominated as one of the world's most powerful Arab scientists by Arabian Business magazine ranking 11th in the Arab world and 122nd worldwide.

Dr Al-Amoudi, a breast cancer survivor, received a number of awards for bringing breast cancer to the forefront and breaking the silence to speak out about her own battle with breast cancer.

In 2007, she was recognized by the US Secretary of State as being one of the most courageous women in the world in recognition of her breast cancer awareness campaign to raise awareness across KSA and the Middle East.

In 2010, she was nominated by Arabian Business magazine among the most top 100 who have impact and made changes in their societies.

She is currently the CEO of the KAU-based Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer.
