Launch of the Second Phase of Screening Program

Sheikh Mohammed Hussien Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah  launch the second phase of its early detection program for breast cancer, the launch was under the auspices of H.E. the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Center Professor Mahmoud Shahin Al-Ahwal. It is a program that is supported by Pfizer Global Medicine  and aims to achieve one of the main goals and objectives of Pfizar in collaboration with KAU University and the College of Medicine and the center in the achievement of social responsibility, according to the CEO of the Center Prof. Samia Al-Amoudi, Pfizer company support will enable us to extend our services and achieve our objective of supporting women health rights by providing screening program to Saudi and non-Saudi. During the ceremony, after ribbon-cutting to mark the release of the second phase,  an introductory tour in the units of the Center  was carried out. The units of the center includes the screening unit, the skill lab for training  male & female students on the mechanism of breast examination , advocacy and research unit. The guests also visited the health empowerment and health rights unit. Prof. Samia Al-Amoudi explained the objectives and vision of this unit , and the first versions booklet entitled Cancer Patients Rights was presented to the guests . The tour was followed by a talk given by H.E. the Dean and presentation on the achievements of the early screening unit made by the supervisor of the unit Dr. Sawsan Ashour.

At the end the team of Pfizar was  honored in recognition of their support ( Alaa Jamal, Ahmed Mahfouz, Sari Abdulwahab, and Amr Al-Banna ) and a special invitation was delivered to Pfizer families to do mammogram and the last week in October was allocated to them.
