Abstract : This study aims to identify the concept and the approach of proactive leadership and the most important capabilities that distinguishing the proactive leadership, mainly represented in (predictability, ability to set goals, ability to plan, ability to create work teams, and the decision-making ability), also the study aims to identify the concept of functional performance, and to identify the measurement of the degree of the influence of the proactive leadership on the performance of Saudi Post employees, which is the main problem to be discussed by this study, and to find out the appropriate recommendations based on the results obtained from this field study. For the achievement of these objectives, the researcher used questionnaire as a tool for data collection. The population of the study consists of all employees of Jeddah Central Post, number of (586) employees. The sample size was determined according to the statistical equation and number of (300) questionnaires were distributed after assures verification of the validity and the stability. The study sample was selected randomly after excluding out the irrelevant questionnaires for the statistical analysis. The sample of the study becomes only (161) employees. The study has concluded out many results, the most important of which is the high influential level of the proactive leadership in the Saudi Post Corporation from the point of view of the employees, and also existence of a high level of functional performance in the Saudi Post Corporation from the point of view of the employees, indicating a positive correlation relationship between the two factors of the study, the study also showed that there are positive significant statistical differences at the level of the effect of the proactive leadership due to demographic variables, in addition to the existence of significant statistical differences at the level of the functional performance due also to the demographic variables. The study has resulted into several recommendations, the most important of which is the need to adopt the proactive leadership approach in the Saudi Post Corporation as one of the most important strategic solutions and as preventive measures, and to provide training programs in the proactive leadership for the Saudi Post Corporation, and preparation of the human cadres who are capable of perfect prediction and act quickly and efficiently; to find a proactive knowledge for crises before occurrence, and to provide the necessary information and teams for the analysis and dealing with the expected crisis. Therefore, there is a need to review and activate the incentive system both physically and mentally in the Saudi Post Corporation, as a motivation for the staff in general and in creators in particular.
